Obstetrics and Gynaecology (O&G) is one of Union Hospital's popular services. Our maternity and gynaecological services were accredited by the Hong Kong College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 2000 and 2003 respectively. In addition, the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology was designated as the maternity department for clinical internship by The Nethersole School of Nursing, Faculty of Medicine, The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2006. The Department was set up by the hospital to provide high standards of care and to accomplish excellence in the field of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Its mission is to provide superior services with the aid of state-of-the-art medical technology and underpinned by the principles of clinical governance. A full range of Obstetric and Gynaecological services are offered, including the management of special and complicated cases. These are handled by a dedicated team of experienced doctors and nursing staff. Different special interest clinics have also been established, such as Union Reproductive Medicine Centre, Cervical Disease Centre, Fetal Diagnosis and Therapy Centre and Union Breast Centre, to provide a full range of services related to Obstetrics & Gynaecology.
